But the temperature is just comparable with my TUF OC (up to 75C), consuming around the same amount of power as the TUF (up to 320W), but much noisier at stock fan speeds. You're welcome GeForce RTX 3090: 47FPSaverage 80 This means that MSI's new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X -- at least in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K in this example -- is 8.5% faster than the RTX 3090 FE,. Oh and btw; can't you just send the FTW3 back and get a refund? Nice undervolt you have. That is a proud 100Watt less than the delivery condition! I have no clue how mining affects graphics cards. I like how Optimums 3090 is a FE version like yours. So I got my 3090 Strix and so far tested exclusively at 0.850 V usingMaxes out RT cores demo. It seems your FTW3 holds a higher clockspeed out of the box and with less power usage than my ROG STRIX But I went ahead and tested my undervolt, 1800MHz with 800MV, on Heaven (I'll probably have to move the voltage up a notch or two still for full stability) with different fan speeds: - Way too loud for me (on a Meshify C just besides my monitor), - Acceptable loud, but I'd rather have it quieter, - Just loud enough to be barely perceptible over my case fans. Otherwise, the default setting will run the card in around 120 watts. My 3090 performs better than stock now. Can we maybe ask to stick to one way to post it? And would it even work on a ROG STRIX? I would describe my cooling as relatively good. Because if you have in afterburner 1800mhz on 0,875v you can be boosting in game to 1830mhz in RTX game like Metro exodus, which make a lot of difference to perspective of undervolt result just curios to be sure mine 1755mhz on 0,8v is actually clocks shown in games, but in MSI afterburner I think I hve 1725 or 1740 adjusted but it`s doing 1755 in all tests and games , soo yeah, True, sometimes my clockspeed hits 1815MHz for a short while, You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Posted in Troubleshooting, Linus Media Group Unfortunately my GPU just isn't stable at 800mV near the 1800MHz core clocks, especially not when RT cores are used at the same time. Nvidia RTX 3060 Overclock. Lock the voltage and frequency with the key : L. Then switch to the regular Afterburner-window and click APPLY. I was able to get a little over 4% MORE performance with the undervolt and 6 degrees Celsius lower average temperatures on the 3D Mark Time Spy test. Also remember that just because we could undervolt our cards to a certain setting does not mean your card will work the same. If my GPU was able to do that, I would use that setting. Since the plan is to slap a waterblock on it anyway, returning it and getting your money back isn't a necessity. Looks like the Tuf version of the card is clocking pretty well though. Summarized here again: 1750Mhz in the Curve-Editor result in real 1785Mhz after the heating phase (think of the offset I already described by the P-States!) here are several tests with Shadow of the Tomb Raider Benchmark: Can you confirm the settings you've used? then you have the most insane god-tier golden sample silicon chip I have ever seen. Features: But first a few words about the settings and the models: The card runs in the Performance BIOS with 370 Watt and delivery state. A standard RTX 3090 Ti sports a thermal design power (TDP) of 450W, with some Nvidia board partners outfitting their custom RTX 3090 Ti models with a TDP exceeding 500W. It seems to be throttling because on some games the core clock is running at 1920MHz but it drops to 1545MHz on Heaven however on the manufacturers page states these specs: Did you get a decent deal on eBay? This is probably not stable, but PR runs. Keep in mind this is on a msi gaming x trio with dedicated memory cooling heat pipes. Now that you have the F/V Curve Editor. In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. So we save almost 40 watts! Playing Metro Exodus, Control or Cyberpunk with RTX on shows up any instability pretty quickly for me. There are three GPU fans and two of them are grouped into one so you can see they are running at roughly 3500RPM. I can't reach that magical 121 MH/s rate other people are having with a 3090 card. In order for a 3080 to match the performance of a 3090, the 3080 needs a greater power draw and temperature all things being equal. I've only really "undervolted" my card. I came to the term of undervolting, checked some videos, but it still seems too scary to start doing it, since i may fk something up - but as far as i read you can save up to 100w usage. The Nvidia 3000 series cards tend to have high memory temperatures, so it is important to take care of proper cooling. So my settings was 1815MHz @850mV, with 137% powerlimit. This isnt anything new either and has been done both to GPUs and CPUs to helt them with thermals although I think it still isnt as knows as overclocking.
